EuroSkills Gdańsk 2023 EuroSkills is the biggest vocational education and skills excellence event in Europe. This year, 2023, the competitions were held in Gdansk, Poland. In skill 16 Electronics Prototyping I was the Chief Expert and guardian of Finnish competitor Paulus Kivelä. On the preparation day, the competitors familiarized themselves with tools, measuring devices and the computer as well as the software they use. They also had the opportunity to do a couple of soldering exercises. In skill Electronics, the competition tasks were secret. The competition tasks were prepared in China and Japan. Each task started with a review of the competition documents. The authors of the task presented the competition tasks via remote connection and answered the questions asked by the competitors.
